McGuffey Middle School students investigate the meaning of root and base words through a weekly activity known as “Word Bag.” This student lead activity involves pulling common word families from a box, deconstructing the word to its prefix, suffix, and base, while exploring meaning, origin, and sometimes etymology. This week, students explored the use of context clues to help investigate meaning.
